Morgan Rielly Seemingly Takes a Jab at Former Maple Leafs Coach Sheldon Keefe

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly hasn't been great this season and for some, it is because of the new system imposed by new head coach Craig Berube.
Morgan Rielly has been having one of the weaker seasons of his career and it has come at the expense of the mental health of Toronto Maple Leafs fans.
However, he is known for elevating his game in the playoffs and fans are very hopeful that this season will be yet another example of this.
For some, Craig Berube's system is the culprit behind Rielly's decline. He is still trying to figure out his role and there are times when he looks unsure of what he needs to do.

Having said that, it seems pretty clear that he prefers this new system to whatever Sheldon Keefe had the team doing.
While speaking to the media about the Maple Leafs' newfound strength at the end of the season, Rielly gave credit to Craig Berube for what he has instilled in the team.
"It's big. You know, it's not something that we've done a lot in the past, but if you look at games recently, it's all been close. And I mean, that's what we're expecting here moving forward. So it's a good opportunity for our best to come to out. It can be nerve-wracking when you're in these close games. The more you do it and the more you are able to execute and rely on your structure and end up on top, it's a good feeling."
Under Sheldon Keefe, the Leafs always played poorly at the end of the regular season, so his comments could be seen as a huge slight to the New Jersey Devils head coach.
Whatever the case may be, Maple Leafs fans are happy to have Berube as the Leafs head coach. He has been sensational and the team looks poised for a deep playoff run.
We might be getting ahead of ourselves by saying that, but you can feel the energy around this team right now.
Based on what all of the players are saying, you cannot help but feel like this season is truly different.
