Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson did not have a great ending to his season, and it has led to some very obvious conclusions for the media.

Nick Robertson is a forward who came into this season with a lot of promise, as well as a lot of drama.
His contract situation last summer had the forward demanding a trade. However, both sides worked out a solution with the hope that Robertson would take a leap forward.
Unfortunately, that was not the case. He was a frequent healthy scratch and had 22 points in 69 games, which is not ideal.

Nick Robertson's future with the Toronto Maple Leafs

Now, his contract is up, and there has been a lot of talk about whether or not the Leafs would consider bringing him back.
According to Jonas Siegel of The Athletic, Robertson's lack of playoff ice time suggests that both sides will officially move on from one another as of July 1st.
Expected after he only suited up in 3 of 13 playoff games this year, but Jonas Siegel says that Nick Robertson is likely headed elsewhere this summer.
All things considered, this is probably for the best. Robertson and the Leafs were not a match made in heaven.
Head coach Craig Berube is clearly not a fan of how Robertson plays, and that is totally fine. Sometimes, these things just happen.
With Robertson gone, look for the Leafs to try and make some major changes to the bottom six in the offseason.
The team's bottom-six production was truly awful, and this would be a good time to try and improve in time for next season.
