Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice got to speak to the media today where he was asked about the Toronto Maple Leafs and their bench boss, Craig Berube.
Paul Maurice and the Florida Panthers are in Toronto tonight to take on the
Maple Leafs in Game 1 of the second round of the NHL Playoffs.
Berube and Maurice will make for a matchup of the ages, as these are two of the best coaches in the entire NHL right now.
Paul Maurice on the Craig Berube led Maple Leafs
He was even asked about Craig Berube and what he thinks of the Maple Leafs under their new head coach. It led to an interesting answer that pretty well everyone can agree with.
«I think there's more patience in their game than maybe in the past . I would say a more mature game.»
Tonight's game is going to be a fascinating one, especially with fans truly hoping for the best here. It is not going to be an easy game, but this is the best Leafs roster in 25 years.
If defensemen like
Chris Tanev and
Morgan Rielly can block shots and reduce turnovers, then the Leafs could be looking good.
It is a best-of-seven, however, so the Leafs need to make sure that they put their best foot forward over these next two weeks.
