Reporter Obliterates Keith Pelley & the Toronto Maple Leafs for Price-Gouging Fans

Toronto Maple Leafs tickets are increasing in price at a rapid pace, and reporter Scott Wheeler has a real problem with how Keith Pelley is contributing to the issue.
If you were one of the fans trying to get season tickets on Wednesday, you probably noticed that the Toronto Maple Leafs raised their ticket prices by a substantial amount.
Furthermore, going into the opening night game against the Montreal Canadiens, the cheapest seats on the secondary market were over $300, while the most expensive were $2000.
Overall, this is just ridiculous, and the average fan continues to be priced out of attending games at the Scotiabank Arena.
Keith Pelley put on blast by Scott Wheeler
Some are blaming MLSE CEO Keith Pelley for these price hikes. While Pelley may say inflation or rising costs in general, other arenas are trying to make games more affordable. The Leafs are doing the opposite.
Consequently, reporter Scott Wheeler believes Pelley needs to be called out the next time he has a press conference.
Brendan Shanahan is out. Pricing fans out of the building and making no meaningful effort to improve on an embarrassing atmosphere in this market, apparently, is not. These prices should be one of the first questions to Keith Pelley in his next presser.
It's hard to imagine ticket prices ever going down under the Pelley leadership. The Leafs are already accustomed to this level of pricing.
While it does suck for the average fan, if the games are still being sold out, then the franchise does not have much of an incentive to change things up.
It is the sad reality of the world we live in, and we're sure the die hard fans will be sad about this going into next season.
Hopefully, the fans use their voice and eventually, a change is made for the better.
