Ryan Reaves Redeems Himself with Major Gesture Towards Nicolas Roy

Newly acquired Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nicolas Roy has a lot to learn about the city, although it seems like Ryan Reaves might be a mentor to him.
At the time, he was still with the Leafs, so some felt like it was an act of betrayal to steer Marner away from the franchise.
Since that time, Reaves has been traded to the San Jose Sharks in what some feel like is a not-so-subtle act of revenge.

However, during an episode of 'Leafs Morning Take,' newly acquired forward
Nicolas Roy revealed the truth about Reaves, and it's surprising.
Essentially, the forward helped Roy when he saw that he was coming to Toronto. He helped him get situated and even provided him with the lay of the land.
It was a nice gesture from Reaves, who is an elder statesman of the hockey world.
To play, like I said, for a Canadian team - a bigger market - obviously there's going to be a little bit of pressure. But I think that's a privilege as a player. When there's pressure, it means the expectations are high, and that's when you want to play - that's when you want to play your best hockey. So yeah, I'm really excited.
Ultimately, we wish Reaves well as he goes on this new journey with the San Jose Sharks.
As for Roy, we hope he can cope with the pressures of playing for such a massive franchise.
