New Jersey Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe went off on Johnathan Kovacevic recently and Toronto Maple Leafs fans are feeling jealous about it.
Former Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe had a reputation of not holding his players accountable when they did something wrong.
Ultimately, the team never had much playoff success during his tenure and there is no doubt that the fans wish he had been a bit better about keeping the locker room in check.
However, a recent incident between Keefe and New Jersey Devils star Johnathan Kovacevic has led to some fans wondering if the head coach has become a new man in his new role.

After a loss against the Ottawa Senators, Kovacevic admitted that he felt like the Devils could be a lot more focused and perhaps bring a "playoff mindset" to games.
This led to a shocking answer from Sheldon Keefe who said that Kovacevic needs to play better himself before he starts getting snippy with his teammates.

Maple Leafs fans on Twitter were quick to point out that this is something Keefe would have never said while coaching the Maple Leafs.
Instead, he typically shied away from this kind of criticism, but now, he seems to be a new man and one that would work wonders on this current Leafs team.
One of the knocks against Craig Berube is that he has not been good enough when it comes to going after his own players and holding them accountable.
Both the Leafs and the New Jersey Devils are on track for a playoff berth. Only time will tell which team ends up going farther.
