John Tavares Livid After the Toronto Maple Leafs Blow Yet Another Lead

John Tavares may not be the captain anymore but he certainly still has all of the leadership qualities you would want out of a veteran player.

He has been fantastic this season with 30 goals and 61 points, and he even had a goal last night to give himself his 7th 30-goal season.

Unfortunately, this goal was not enough to give the Leafs a win as they fell to the Nashville Predators in truly embarrassing fashion. They gave up a 2-0 lead and conceded five unanswered goals in what was a terrible look for the team.

After last night's loss, Tavares was asked about what happened and whether or not he is angry with the result.

As you can imagine, the former captain was not impressed with what he saw and was very candid about how he feels about all of this.

Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube was not happy with the loss either as he had some very strong words about what went down.

This loss was especially bad for the Maple Leafs because it stripped them of the opportunity to take first place in the Atlantic Division standings.

The team can bounce back Tuesday against the Philadelphia Flyers, however, and they also have a game against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.

Hopefully, the team can get back to winning and perhaps even get that elusive Atlantic Division title.
