Craig Berube Rips the Toronto Maple Leafs to Pieces Following Embarrassing Loss to Nashville

The Toronto Maple Leafs were up 2-0 on the Nashville Predators on Saturday night but gave up five unanswered goals and ended up losing in terrible fashion.
Craig Berube has had a difficult job as head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs when you consider all of the drama he has to deal with.
Whether it be the contracts of the team's best players or perhaps some of the politics of dealing with Toronto media, Berube has his hands full.
Things then get even worse when the team is playing poorly, which is what we saw on Saturday night against the Nashville Predators, a team they should be beating.
Craig Berube not happy with the Toronto Maple Leafs
The Leafs were leading 2-0 in the first period before they experienced an all-out collapse which led to give unanswered goals by the Predators.
After the game, the head coach was clearly livid with his players, revealing that their mental mistakes were unlike anything he has seen all season.
"It was a total flip," Berube said. "What we did to them in the first what they did to us in the second and we had breakdowns that cost goals. There was no reason for it.
I'm not sure if I'm surprised. These kinds of mental mistakes can happen throughout the year. However, I haven't seen mistakes like we made tonight in a while."

This loss came at a terrible time as the Leafs remain tied with the Florida Panthers for first in the Atlantic Division.
The Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers lost on the same night which made it so that had the Leafs held onto their lead, they would have had the outright lead in the Atlantic.
Overall, these kinds of missed opportunities can come back to bite you and we're sure the Leafs are kicking themselves for how they played tonight.
Only time will tell whether or not they can make the most of their opportunities this week when they take on the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks.
