Toronto Maple Leafs center Scott Laughton has not been living up to the hype since being traded by the Philadelphia Flyers and the fans have had enough.
The Maple Leafs gave up quite a bit to acquire center Scott Laughton as the team gave the Philadelphia Flyers a first-round pick as well as Nikita Grebenkin.
Unfortunately, this has not panned out for the Leafs as the wannabe third-line center has been demoted to the wing on the fourth line.
Overall, fans are not impressed with his production and last night's loss against the Nashville Predators has inspired a campaign against the newly-acquired player.
Scott Laughton has been bad since being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs
One fan on Twitter even took it upon themselves to take a critical look at the eight games that Laughton has played since being acquired.
A -5 net rating is pretty bad but it looks even worse when you consider how the forward also has a grand total of zero points, which is absolutely embarrassing.
If you are a fan of the Maple Leafs, you cannot help but agree that this kind of production is not going to be acceptable moving forward.

Only time will tell whether or not Laughton will be able to get it together for the Leafs down the stretch here.
The hope is that he can get it together by the playoffs when the games actually matter.
But for right now, we know for a fact that this is not good enough and that something has to change sooner rather than later.
The Leafs are in the most important fight of the season and they need every single player to reach their potential.
