This year has been fantastic for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they have been able to win the Atlantic Division and secure an advantage in the NHL Playoffs.
With the Toronto Maple Leafs dominating their opponents this season, there has been a real interest in the NHL playoffs.
Moreover, there has been this new sense that things are actually different this time around, which is not something that Leafs fans have felt in a very long time.
Although the team still needs to prove itself, there are a few prevailing statistics that seem to indicate how this may just be the year the Leafs get over the hump.

Add in a record of 13-2-1 in the final 16 games of the season and you have a team that is ready for a deep run through the playoffs.

If you are a Leafs fan, this is going to be an exciting series and there is every reason to feel like this first-round series against the Ottawa Senators will be one for the ages.
