Mitch Marner and the Las Vegas Golden Knights will be in Toronto on January 23rd, and unfortunately for fans, the ticket prices for the game are absurd.
Toronto Maple Leafs fans cannot wait for January 23rd, as it is the day Mitch Marner returns to Toronto, this time as a member of the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
Overall, it is going to be a fun game, especially since both teams are expected to be real playoff contenders who could potentially make a deep run.
Toronto Maple Leafs ticket prices have lost the plot
According to a fan on X, two tickets in the 300 section of Scotiabank Arena are going for $1000. Of course, this is not the case for every home game.
However, with so many fans wanting to see Mitch Marner return to Toronto, it makes sense that these prices would be over-inflated to a ridiculous degree.
What a Fu**en joke $1000 for a pair of 300 level regular season game tickets RIDICULOUS
This is part of a larger trend that we have been reporting on as of late. Quite simply, ticket prices are too much for the average fan.
If you are someone who enjoys watching hockey games in person, you are going to have to go to arenas in different cities, where the tickets are cheap.
Toronto is the biggest market in the NHL, and as a result, the tickets cost an arm and a leg. It is unfortunate, but that is how things go.
Hopefully, MLSE takes note of how fans feel, and make a positive change in the future.
