Edmonton Oilers forward Jack Roslovic has played a couple of games for the team, but there are already talks about him potentially being traded.
Jack Roslovic is a player who the Toronto Maple Leafs were taking a serious look at during free agency, but in the end, they decided against it.
Overall, Roslovic could have been the perfect player for the Maple Leafs. After all, he is a guy who has scored 20 goals and can play in the middle six.
In the end, they decided against it, and the forward ended up with the Edmonton Oilers on a one-year deal worth just $1.5 million.
Jack Roslovic and the Edmonton Oilers are being cautious
If both feel as though this isn't working out, then the Oilers and Roslovic are going to work on a trade together, with the Toronto Maple Leafs looking like a potential trade target.
A recent report from David Pagnotta reiterated the possibility of a Roslovic trade, which is something general manager Brad Treliving should watch out for.
For the Toronto Maple Leafs to land Roslovic, something is going to have to go wrong between the forward and the Oilers organization.
So far, the team should probably give him a bit more of a chance before rushing to the need to trade him away for practically nothing.
But when it comes to the Leafs, they haven't gotten much scoring from the bottom six so far, and that could sway them to pursue Roslovic.
He would be a much better option for them than
Dakota Joshua, who has not been particularly good.
