Toronto Maple Leafs Can't Seem to Catch a Break with Jake McCabe

With the NHL playoffs on the horizon, the Toronto Maple Leafs need Jake McCabe to be active, but the defenseman has unfortunately been dealing with an injury.
Overall, he is the type of player that you need on your roster, especially when there is a playoff run on the horizon.
Jake McCabe still out of Maple Leafs practice
There are four games left in the regular season and on Saturday night, the Maple Leafs will play the Montreal Canadiens. Sunday, they are back in action against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Today, the Leafs are back at practice, and according to Mark Masters, McCabe was not in attendance. Neither was
David Kampf who was injured in the same game.
Based on this report, it remains very unclear whether or not McCabe will play at all this weekend. All we do know is that this is concerning all the same.
Perhaps the only good news here is that McCabe did skate before the practice, which shows that he can be active if called upon.
For now, however, the Maple Leafs are exercising some caution and you have to respect them for doing that. You don't want your players getting even more injured.
Having said that, these games this weekend will not be easy and with the Atlantic Division on the line, the team is going to need all the help they can get.
We wish both Kampf and McCabe all the best as they look to recover from their injuries.
