Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube recently gave an update on defenseman Jake McCabe who got injured against the Florida Panthers.
Jake McCabe has become one of the best defenseman on the Toronto Maple Leafs this season and if you are a fan of the team, you can't help but love him.
He has remained solid all season long and the team's record is much better with him in the lineup than it is with him out of the lineup.

The Leafs got through that game just fine, winning by a score of 5-0. After the game, the head coach was asked about McCabe. This led to your typical PR answer.
"He is still day to day right now. I don't know if he will play in the next game or not. We'll see how the next couple of days go with him."
This is a massive week for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they play the Florida Panthers on Tuesday and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday, in Florida.
These are two games where they could really use McCabe back in the lineup, especially with the Atlantic Division on the line.
Thankfully, the Leafs are now four points up on Tampa Bay in the Atlantic Division standings, which helps them out a ton going forward.
While they do have some breathing room, now is the time to put the foot on the gas and make sure you get critical wins against the league's best teams.
