Toronto Maple Leafs Fans Haunted By Unbelievable Nazem Kadri Trade

A few years ago, the Toronto Maple Leafs traded Nazem Kadri to the Colorado Avalanche, and it remains one of the darkest times in the history of the franchise.
Nazem Kadri was one of the most beloved players on the Toronto Maple Leafs once upon a time, although these days, he is with the Calgary Flames.
Overall, the forward has been playing his best hockey in Calgary, and he even just so happens to have a Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche.
However, in recent weeks, fans have been begging for the Leafs to bring Kadri back, and it has led to lots of rumors that the Leafs will eventually do it.
Unfortunately, the Flames have no interest in trading their star forward, and it appears as though Kadri is happy with his current team.
Nazem Kadri and the Toronto Maple Leafs
With the Kadri rumors floating in the ether and Leafs fans begging for a huge swing in the offseason, there has been much reflection about the Kadri trade from a few years ago.
As you will remember, the Leafs got Alex Kerfoot and Tyson Barrie, while the Avalanche got Kadri and Calle Rosen. There were some draft picks involved, but they were inconsequential.
On X, Leafs fans are posting the trade, claiming that all of this still haunts them dearly. Quite frankly, we can see why.
No one knows what would have happened had the Leafs kept Kadri on the roster. If one thing is for certain, this was not one of Kyle Dubas' finest moments.
If anything, this is a move that will continue to haunt the Pittsburgh Penguins' general manager for the rest of his days.
As for Maple Leafs fans, they will continue to hope and pray that someday Kadri will return to the franchise.
