Toronto Maple Leafs Get Good News on William Nylander, More Bad News for Steven Lorentz

William Nylander was absent from the Toronto Maple Leafs at morning skate, although some good news has officially come down the pipeline, although not for Steven Lorentz.
However, a new report from Mark Masters confirms that this was simply an excused absence. By all accounts, he will be in the lineup tonight.
This is unfortunate for Steven Lorentz, who stayed after morning skate to do some extra work. Simply put, he will not be in the lineup tonight, and neither will be Sammy Blais.
Steven Lorentz staying out late at Leafs skate so looks like he misses a third straight game tonight. Sammy Blais also skating late. So looks like William Nylander is good to go he was spotted in the room after the skate despite not taking part
In fact, according to Luke Fox, Lorentz is being turned into a healthy scratch. He is ready to play again, but for now, he just doesn't fit into the lineup.
This is a bit of a shocker when you consider how Lorentz was one of Craig Berube's favorite players throughout last season.
The Leafs are keeping their lineup the same after a win against the Nashville Predators, and it's likely that Lorentz will have to wait for an injury or loss before getting back into the lineup.
Whatever the case may be, this is just yet another example of the superior depth that the Leafs have this season.
You can find tonight's lineup, down below:

McMann - Domi - Robertson
