Toronto Maple Leafs' Top Free Agent Target Now Being Pursued by Rival Canadian Team

Over the past few weeks, the Toronto Maple Leafs have been showcasing interest in Jack Roslovic, although there are other teams that are thinking the same way.
Jack Roslovic is a player who the Toronto Maple Leafs have been showing interest in for weeks at this point, but nothing concrete has actually happened.
In fact, there is a sense that the Leafs are done with Roslovic, considering the fact that they have already brought in guys like Dakota Joshua.
Funny enough, the Joshua move has created a hole in the Vancouver Canucks lineup, and now, they are the ones going for Roslovic.

According to a report from Cam Robinson, the Maple Leafs are reportedly in contact with Roslovic's people. Although they are also going after Marco Rossi.
Given the fact that one is a free agent, the other a trade candidate, it does feel like Roslovic, the free agent, will be much easier to acquire.
If it's not him...I know they were trying to get Marco Rossi too; maybe there is an opportunity to circle back
Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs have enough bottom-six forwards. They need someone in the top-six, and Roslovic isn't that guy.
Having said that, it does feel like it would be best for everyone if the Leafs just made their intentions clear and revealed whether or not they are in or out.
For now, general manager Brad Treliving can be expected to shift his focus to trading for a player who can end up in the top six in some capacity.
Of course, that is much easier said than done, and Maple Leafs fans should probably temper their expectations for the time being.
