20-Year-Old Quebec Hockey Phenom Tragically Passes Away

Sad news has hit the hockey world today as 20-year-old National Ball Hockey League star Christophe Babin passed away far too soon.
There are some stories that are extremely difficult to report, and this is definitely one of them.
According to reports,
Christophe Babin, a 20-year-old Quebec hockey phenom, has passed away.
The news was reported by Puck Empire, whose comments section was filled with shocked comments, as well as condolences for the family.
Christophe Babin remembered by the hockey community
Babin was playing for the Assurancia Venne et fille de Joliette of the National Ball Hockey League, and had made his debut on July 18th.
Prior to that, the player was with the Joliette Prédateurs in the QJHL.
We regret to inform you of the passing of young hockey talent Christophe Babin at the age of 20.
Babin spent this past season with the Joliette Predateurs (QJHL), where he had 13 goals, 34 points through 40 games played.

Babin's team took to social media, where they offered a sad statement in regards to what happened.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Christophe Babin, one of our promising young players - but above all, a young man loved by everyone.
