Former Maple Leafs Star Nazem Kadri Calls Out Sportsnet for Stirring Up Drama

Nazem Kadri was a fan favorite when he played in Toronto and for the most part, he got into quite a few feuds as he was a gritty player who always played the game on the edge.

One of those battles was against none other than Jack Eichel, who used to play for the Buffalo Sabres. The Leafs and Sabres were division rivals and would play against each other often.

In one game, these two did not like each other at all and it set the stage for a beef that some believe has gone on for a decade.

In fact, back in 2016, Kadri took aim at Eichel's difficulties on defense, which was a bit of a low blow, and one that has followed both players around for years.

Over the weekend, the Flames played against the Las Vegas Golden Knights and in their promotion for the game, Sportsnet reminded fans about the feud.

However, Kadri replied to the broadcaster, urging them to let it go. They did, as they deleted the post, which just tells you everything you need to know about the situation.

Nine years later, this is all very insignificant. Both players play for very different teams and they have each won Stanley Cups.

While Toronto Maple Leafs fans will always love Kadri, they don't need to be reminded about things that were happening almost 10 years ago.

Hopefully, Kadri can continue to push the Flames into the postseason as they look to capture one of the remaining wild card spots.
