PK Subban Ripped to Shreds for His Outrageous Comments During the Stanley Cup Finals

PK Subban is known for having a unique perspective on the game of hockey, however, his comments about the Stanley Cup Finals and Stuart Skinner are bizarre.
ESPN got the rights to the NHL a couple of years ago, and one of their first hires was PK Subban. Fresh off his retirement, it was clear that PK could be a broadcasting star.
For the most part, that is exactly what he has been. However, there is no doubt that some of his hot takes have rubbed people the wrong way, and for good reason.
In fact, while appearing on 'First Take' with Stephen A. Smith this week, Subban made some truly bizarre comments about the Stanley Cup Finals.
PK Subban speaks absolute nonsense on Stuart Skinner
After a big win from the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 against the Florida Panthers, Subban noted that Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid will get their jerseys retired if they close out the series.
That in and of itself is not the issue. The issue was when Subban said that Stuart Skinner would get his jersey retired as well.
The significance of it. If Connor McDavid wins a Stanley Cup, if Leon Draisaitl wins a Stanley Cup...I don't know if it's going to happen, but I'd be an advocate for putting their jerseys in the rafters right away. These guys have been that good, immediate Hall of Famers. These guys are going into the Hall of Fame, and if they get it done, you may be able to add Stuart Skinner's name to that group.
It is a big statement, because that's how great these guys have been. Without having that ring on their finger, there's not one player in this League that will say those guys don't deserve to have it.

Stuart Skinner has been great over the past couple of playoff series, however, he isn't exactly a Top 10 goalie in the NHL, let alone a Hall of Famer.
PK Subban clowned by fans
Fans were not feeling Subban's commentary, and they were quick to let him know in the comments below.
Overall, some fans think that PK needs to be let go from ESPN. We highly doubt that ever happens as he is bringing in clicks and a whole lot of eyeballs.
As for the Stanley Cup Finals, we hope to continue to get big performances from the Oilers and the Panthers. Game 2 officially goes down tonight.
