Auston Matthews Is Being Trolled By Google and Maple Leafs Fans Are in Shambles

When fans searched Matthews' name, they discovered a bizarrely photoshopped image of him sporting an exaggerated, historical-looking hairdo as his profile picture.
Auston Matthews is at the center of an error of the Google AI-driven verification system
The image has originated on Reddit by some Leafs or other teams fans and it appears to be a prank pulled off by a Maple Leafs troll who managed to convince Google's system to display the photoshoped photo as Auston Matthews' official image.
The error shows the imperfections of Google's AI and that it can occasionally deliver some humorous and inaccurate results from time to time.
Auston Matthews isn't the only hockey personality affected by Google's mix-up since former NHLer Anthony Stewart has also discovered that a search of his name mistakenly showed a picture of former enforcer Georges Laraque.
It's unclear if these errors were the result of manipulations made by geek or simply AI selecting incorrect images from a database and showing them on Google.
While Anthony Stewart publicly called out the error form Google, it's not the case from Auston Matthews and the Maple Leafs who have kept silent on the matter.
Whether this pushes Google to address the inaccuracies or starts a funny answer from Auston Matthews himself, that's for sure that fans are having a good laugh at the captain's new hair.
For now, the trolling image remains a funny one and shows proof that even tech giants like Google can make error sometimes.
