Brad Marchand Reveals the Truth About his Altercation with Brandon Carlo

During the trade deadline, the Toronto Maple Leafs traded Fraser Minten and a first round draft pick to the Boston Bruins in exchange for defenseman Brandon Carlo.

This happened at the same time that the Florida Panthers acquired Brad Marchand in a shocking deal that proved the Bruins wanted to blow things up.

Since that time, Marchand has returned from injury and is now playing on the Panthers while Carlo continues to thrive with the Maple Leafs.

These are two teams that could play each other in the first round of the playoffs, or perhaps the second round, depending on how things go.

Last week, the Panthers and the Leafs played one another and if you were paying attention, you saw Carlo and Marchand get chippy with one another.

Today, these two teams will rematch in Florida and while speaking to reporters, Marchand revealed what really happened between Carlo and himself last week.

Of course, Marchand is mostly joking about what went down, although we're sure he would love to get some revenge on the Maple Leafs considering how the last game went.

The Leafs have been a sneaky team this season and are on a bit of a tear right now. But now is a good time to get one back, especially in light of the hunt for the Atlantic Division.

The Maple Leafs lead the Panthers by six points and lead the Tampa Bay Lightning by four. If the Leafs keep winning, they will run away with it.
