Bowen noted how he had recently seen the former NHLer and that the man was recovering from an illness but was in good spirits.
"This one is tough. We lost Millsie today suddenly. Just saw him a couple of weeks ago in the press box at a Maple Leafs game, and he said he was recovering from some illness that had sidelined him a bit. Travelled a lot of miles with him doing Maple Leaf games and enjoyed every minute of our conversations and our banter on the air.

To Anne and the family. Our deepest condolences. Gone way too soon. RIP my friend."
Millen was a goaltender for numerous teams during his time in the NHL, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues, Quebec Nordiques, Chicago Blackhawks, and Detroit Red Wings.
His passing is incredibly sad and showcases just how fragile life can be. You never know when it is going to be gone.
Our heart goes out to the Millen family during this time and we hope they are able to get the support they need.
RIP Greg Millen.
