Brad Treliving Leaks Mitch Marner's Free Agency Decision

Mitch Marner and his agent Darren Ferris have been pretty hush-hush about their plans for next week, although there have been plenty of rumors about what they have in store.

Overall, it has been wild to watch, and there is no doubt that Maple Leafs fans everywhere are waiting with bated breath for Marner to finally make his decision.

Having said that, we got a massive update from Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving. While speaking to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, he confirmed what we already knew. Marner is going to free agency.

Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs have seemingly been on the outs ever since Game 7 of the second round against the Florida Panthers.

The Leafs got absolutely destroyed during that game, and Marner was destroyed on social media for his viral freakout at the Leafs' bench after going down 3-0.

The team that appears to be the most likely to sign Mitch Marner right now is none other than the Las Vegas Golden Knights. It was even reported that Marner was spotted in Las Vegas with his wife shopping for homes.

The Los Angeles Kings, Florida Panthers, and Dallas Stars have also been considered as viable options to sign the winger to a large contract.

At this point, however, the whole league seems to be preparing for the Golden Knights to get one of the best right-wing players in the league.

While it would certainly suck to see Mitch go, these things happen, and it's not like no one could have predicted any of this would happen.
