Brandon Carlo Left Shocked by One of His New Toronto Maple Leafs Teammates

Last Friday, the Toronto Maple Leafs traded Fraser Minten and a first-round pick in 2026 to the Boston Bruins for defenseman Brandon Carlo.

It was perhaps the biggest trade of the day for the franchise as they needed a right-handed defenseman to bolster their blue line and get themselves on track for the postseason.

As it stands, Carlo is trying to ingratiate himself with his new teammates and he is learning a lot about the various guys on the team.

In fact, the defenseman was asked if there was a player on the Maple Leafs who had surprised him so far.

This led to a very interesting answer as Brandon Carlo admitted that he has become a huge fan of none other than Max Domi. These two have battled hard in the postseason before, and he likes the way they are meshing.

This is an important compliment for a guy like Domi to receive right now when you consider how he has been struggling quite a bit this season and fans have been getting tired of his lackadaisical play.

If a gritty guy like Carlo is complimenting him, then perhaps he actually is doing something right these days.

Unfortunately, this all comes on the heels of yet another Maple Leafs loss to one of their Atlantic Division rivals.

They just lost by a score of 3-2 to the Florida Panthers and fans do not believe this bodes well for the postseason.

Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can break their curses and win a couple of rounds.
