Craig Berube Walks Back Comments About Joseph Woll After 24 Hours of Heavy Scrutiny

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube turned a lot of heads with his comments about Joseph Woll but he seems to have had a change of heart.
After a bad loss to the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night, Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube had some very harsh comments about goaltender Joseph Woll.
He noted that the goalie has to play a lot better and it was one of the first times this season where Berube actually called out one of his goaltenders.
Some fans were not expecting this, and it has led to questions about who is going to be the starting goalie for the Leafs tonight as the team takes on the Los Angeles Kings.

While in Los Angeles, Berube was asked about his goaltenders and their up and down play as of late.
During his answer, the head coach was much more subdued than he was on Thursday as he admitted that his goaltenders have been very good this season, despite recent struggles.
«It's a little up and down. They've had really good games, too. It's a bit like our game-just a little too inconsistent at times. But, hey, they've played really well for us this year. They've been solid. They're going to have off nights, like everyone else does.

At this point in the season, it is extremely important for the Maple Leafs to get good goaltending from their guys moving forward.
We still do not know who the starting goalie is going to be for the playoffs, and that is a bit of a problem.
Of course, if Woll or Stolarz can create some separation, than perhaps there will finally be some clarity but until then, we have no clue what is going to happen.
Hopefully, one of these guys can get started with a win against the Los Angeles Kings tonight, and a follow-up performance against the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday.
