Easton Cowan ripped to shreds after Team Canada loss
Tonight, Team Canada was taking on Team Czech Republic in the Quarter Finals.
Of course, Canada lost in the Quarters last year, so fans were hoping for the team to come out and try to avenge last year's loss.
Things did not go as planned as Canada was eliminated by a score of 4-3. Although they mounted a late comeback, the Czechs were able to get a big goal late in the game to win it.
As for Easton Cowan, he made a horrible decision early in the game which had fans absolutely livid with his performance.
While on a two-on-zero with
Oliver Bonk, Cowan opted to shoot instead of pass it to Bonk who had a wide-open net.
Much like days past, this elicited a wave of hate on social media, with hoards of fans expressing how much they dislike the young prospect.
However, he could not show up in the big moment, and now, the Toronto Maple Leafs will have to keep a close eye on him moving forward.
If this is how he performs in the World Juniors, how do the Leafs expect him to perform in the NHL Playoffs.
