The Florida Panthers are Stanley Cup champions for a second year in a row, and the Toronto Maple Leafs were one of the many teams that felt their wrath.
During the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2025, the Florida Panthers knocked off the Toronto Maple Leafs in seven games.
As all Leafs fans are aware, Game 7 was catastrophically bad, and a lot of fans still haven't gotten over it. With that in mind, there are some who hope for revenge this season.
Unfortunately, with the Panthers going into this campaign as two-time defending champions, they are feeling cockier than ever before, and they are making this everyone's problem.
Florida Panthers unveil Stanley Cup ring
A great example of this is the Florida Panthers' Stanley Cup ring, which was revealed to the masses on Tuesday by reporter Chris Johnston.
Below, you can see that on the inside of the ring, there are engravings of every city they beat en route to their Stanley Cup. Tampa Bay, Toronto, Carolina, and Edmonton are all named here.
It is pouring salt into the wounds of their opponents, and even as a Maple Leafs fan, you have to respect the hatred they have for their enemies.
Going into this season, the Panthers have a ton of injuries, and there is no telling whether or not the team will be able to pull through with a deep postseason run.
If not, then the Maple Leafs have a great opportunity to potentially go on a deep run themselves. Although fans end up telling themselves this every single year.
Whatever the case may be, this Stanley Cup ring has just given the Maple Leafs all of the bulletin board material they need.
Now, their job is to simply go out and win hockey games as often as possible.
