Former Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Continues to Haunt the Team in the Worst Way Imaginable

Nashville Predators forward Michael Bunting used to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs and as it turns out, he has found a way to haunt his former team.
Michael Bunting is a player who was with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2021 until 2023 and in those two seasons, he was a pretty solid player who could get the team some offense.
However, he eventually moved on and since 2023, he has played for three teams including the Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins, and even the Nashville Predators.
Last night, the Maple Leafs went up against Bunting and lost by a score of 5-2 after giving up five unanswered goals in what is being described as an embarrassing loss.

One of those goals was scored by Bunting and as it turns out, he has a history of completely burning the Toronto Maple Leafs since leaving the team two years ago.
Essentially, Bunting has scored against the Leafs with all three of his most recent teams, dating back to 2023. Last night, he was able to make it a trifecta against Nashville.
Since leaving the Leafs in 2023, Michael Bunting has played for three teams (PIT, CAR, NSH) and scored against the Leafs with each one.

If you are the Toronto Maple Leafs, you can't help but feel pretty let down by this outcome, all things considered.
Having said that, these things are going to happen. When so many players have played for your franchise, some of them will go on to bigger and better things.
That said, the Leafs and the Predators are two teams on vastly different trajectories. One team is looking to win their division while the other is 30th in the entire NHL.
However, the Leafs have to beat the worst teams in the league in order to maximize their points and they just aren't doing that right now.
