The Toronto Maple Leafs need to make some moves before the start of the NHL regular season, and it remains clear that general manager Brad Treliving is working hard.

According to Chris Johnston of The Athletic, the Leafs are working on deals involving
David Kampf and
Calle Jarnkrok. Unfortunately, the market is a bit thin.
The assumption is that they will be moved before the start of the season, but as it stands, there is no guarantee that this will happen.
"The Leafs could still ship out one or more of Kampf, Jarnkrok or Robertson before the season begins"; "they've been reluctant to part with Robertson because of his age-related upside"
The Toronto Maple Leafs could also go ahead and trade a player like Nick Robertson, but it doesn't seem like they are interested in doing that.
Needless to say, the Toronto Maple Leafs have a lot of work to do, and Treliving is under pressure to make things happen.
If you are a Maple Leafs fan, you are probably a bit nervous about how things are going right now. But for now, it's best to just wait it out.
The Leafs have a plan, and Treliving has been known to execute at a high level.
