Jonathan Toews Narrows Down His Free Agency Decision to Two Teams

Jonathan Toews is on the verge of an NHL comeback, and he has a couple of teams in mind for when he announces his free agency decision at the Draft.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are attempting to make a huge splash in free agency, and one of the players they have been trying to seek out is none other than Jonathan Toews.
After a two-year hiatus from the sport, Toews is looking to make a comeback for the ages, and the 37-year-old could certainly be a solid addition to the Leafs' bottom six.
In fact, it has been reported over and over again that the Leafs are one of the few teams that Toews is considering ahead of July 1st.
Where is Jonathan Toews going in Free Agency?
Yesterday, Chris Johnston was on his podcast, where he revealed exactly what is going on with Toews right now. Unfortunately, it is not a good report for the Leafs.
As Johnston revealed, Toews has narrowed his search down to just two teams. Those teams are the Winnipeg Jets and the Colorado Avalanche.
Based on the hometown factor at play here, we are going to take a wild guess and say Toews is leaning towards the Jets. However, we'll only know for sure once he makes his announcement.
It has been reported that Toews will officially make his decision known before free agency. In fact, he wants to do it at the NHL Draft.
While he cannot sign a deal until the 1st, he can still talk to teams and enter a potential agreement. Either way, his choice will come with tons of fanfare.
Toews remains a likeable player around the National Hockey League, and the fans would love to see him have some success to finish out his career.
Leafs fans can only hope that he changes his mind and goes with the team that can offer him the biggest hockey market in the entire world.
