A Jonathan Toews & Patrick Kane Reunion in Toronto is a Real Possibility

Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are both free agents right now, and the Toronto Maple Leafs have shown a bit of interest in both of these former teammates.
This is going to be a huge offseason for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and fans are hoping for the team to get a bit creative with the free agents they go after.
Some aging forwards have been on the team's list. These forwards include Patrick Kane and even Jonathan Toews, who has been a huge storyline as of late.
However, no one has really posited the possibility of both of these former Chicago Blackhawks champions reuniting on the same team. Until now.
Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane in Toronto?
During the most recent episode of 'The Steve Dangle Podcast,' Adam Wylde floated out the idea of the Leafs signing both Toews and Kane.
While Steve Dangle, the show's namesake, thought it was a ridiculous idea, Wylde was convincing. He explained how the Leafs need to be creative right now.
Furthermore, he added that Kane would be perfect to play alongside Auston Matthews. As for Jonathan Toews, he can be a mentor to Easton Cowan and center the third line.
While some may find this absolutely absurd, it is pretty hard to argue that it would be cool to see this happen. Quite frankly, the Leafs should try to make it happen.
At the end of the day, these two guys have a whole lot of chemistry. Furthermore, they are absolutely beloved by hockey fans.
Whether or not the Leafs actually try to make all of this happen remains to be seen. After all, there are still a ton of other big targets to go after.
Fans will just have to be a bit patient as the Leafs attempt to get this team over the hump and become a true contender come June.
