Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander has been dealing with an injury, and it has been up in the air whether or not he'd play against Philadelphia.

William Nylander has been on a tear so far this season as he has 15 points in nine games. Sure, he only has three goals, but he is doing his best to set up plays.
Unfortunately, he has missed two of the last three games with a lower-body injury. While he was a participant at practice on Friday, there was no guarantee he would play today.
The Maple Leafs are playing against the Philadelphia Flyers, and they are a bit desperate to get themselves back into the win column.
Unfortunately, that pursuit has become that much more difficult thanks to a report on Nylander that was released just moments ago.

William Nylander out against the Philadelphia Flyers

According to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, William Nylander will not be in the lineup for the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.
This means Sammy Blais will be in the lineup, and presumably, so will Nick Robertson. Meanwhile, Scott Laughton appears days away from an official return.
Overall, Nylander has been the best player on the Maple Leafs for about a season and some change, which makes this loss that much worse.
He is someone who completes the top six and makes it easier for the Maple Leafs to score goals and have an effective power play.
Without him on the ice, it is going to be a very tough game for the Maple Leafs. The Flyers will certainly have a bit of an advantage now.
All the Leafs can do is play their own game and just try to push through. After all, it's not the Flyers are the class of the NHL.
