Toronto Maple Leafs forwards Calle Jarnkrok and David Kampf are supposedly on the trading block, but a new update suggests a deal is not a priority.
During free agency, the Toronto Maple Leafs have made a ton of moves, but there are still more moves to make going forward. Chief among them, some trades involving bottom six players.
Calle Jarnkrok and David Kampf are two players that the Maple Leafs are expecting to do away with very soon, but so far, there has been no luck.
With Nick Robertson getting a new deal, the Leafs need to move out some cap space, and the Jarnkrok-Kampf duo are expected to be on the way out.

However, a new report is beginning to leave some Maple Leafs fans completely confused.
According to Anthony Di Marco, the Toronto Maple Leafs have not had any talks as of late when it comes to Kampf and Jarnkrok.

It would be interesting to know why this is the case right now. Are the Maple Leafs simply waiting for other teams to come for them?
Perhaps the Maple Leafs are simply waiting for general managers to come back from vacation. After all, deals typically happen closer to the end of August.
Whatever the case may be, this is going to be a fascinating final stretch of the offseason. Players will be going back to work soon, and that means the Leafs must get things done.
Jarnkrok and Kampf will likely be off the roster soon, but it's going to take quite the deal to make it happen.
