Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is in the midst of some bitter contract negotiations and it would appear as though things are taking a very bad turn.

His comments were a bit suspicious as he once again reiterated that he doesn't want to talk about his contract during the season.
Now, there is all sorts of reporting in regards to
Mitch Marner and his agents, with James Mirtle of The Athletic leading that charge.
In a new report, he suggests that the Toronto Maple Leafs have offered Marner $13 million per year, however, the forward is trying to secure $13.5 million and he is willing to go elsewhere to get it.
As Mirtle explains, there are numerous desperate teams out there who would love to secure Marner for upwards of $14 million.
With 79 points in 62 games this season, Marner is on pace for over 100 points. That is a lot, but is it really worth $13.5 million and no playoff success? Probably not.
Having said that, the Maple Leafs want to keep the hometown hero and one would assume the All-Star forward would prefer the same.
But for now, things seem to be up in the air and the fans are starting to lose their patience with Mitch Marner and his camp.
