Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson has had his fair share of struggles with the Toronto Maple Leafs this season and that will not be changing anytime soon.
Nick Robertson started the season with the Maple Leafs off on the wrong foot as he had previously asked for a trade, only to get a one-year contract.
Eventually, the forward settled into his role in the bottom-six, although it came with some struggles at times.
Now, the team has lost three in a row and unfortunately, the winger has reverted back to some of his old ways.
Nick Robertson comes out of the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup
Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube is desperate to get this team back on the straight and narrow and that has forced him into making some difficult decisions.
According to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, Nick Robertson has been made a healthy scratch for tonight's game after being pushed out of the third line and subsequently, the fourth line.
Calle Jarnkrok will be his replacement.
Joseph Woll starts in Utah.
Stolarz starts vs. Florida Thursday.
Nick Robertson is healthy scratched tonight and Jarnkrok draws back in.
No timeline on
Chris Tanev's return. He's skating again today.
With 11 goals and 18 points in 55 games this season, one has to wonder what his future will be with the Maple Leafs and whether or not they will just let him walk in the summer.
He has not lived up to the expectations and his inconsistency has proven to be a huge problem throughout the season.
It is hard to imagine him being an effective player in the postseason for those very reasons.
