Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews has been struggling as of late and ahead of Game 5, Mitch Marner spoke about what the captain is going through.
Auston Matthews has not been the same scorer that he usually is this season and the fans have been taking notice of that.
On Tuesday, Matthews' linemate Mitch Marner spoke to the media and it was here where he was asked about the captain's lack of scoring this postseason.

As you will read, Marner was extremely complimentary of Matthews and essentially downplayed concerns that he is in trouble.
The Maple Leafs superstar noted that the captain is keeping a calm demeanor and doesn't seem too worried, which is most definitely a good sign.
"his mood, his energy, his demeanor in the locker room has been unbelievable through it all. you just try to stay patient with it... but yeah, tone's been great through it all. he's the same guy through it all."
Through 10 postseason games, Matthews has two goals and 10 points, which is solid but not the type of production you expect from a guy who had 69 goals last season.
The belief is that Matthews is playing with an injury. After all, he has missed numerous practices and morning skates as of late.
For now, fans will just have to hope that he plays his best game tonight as the Leafs look to take a 3-2 lead on home ice.
If the Maple Leafs lose and Matthews fails to score a goal, then their backs will most certainly be against the wall and there will be a lot of anger amongst the fanbase.
It's going to be a lot of fun.
