NHL Analyst Paul Bissonnette was recently on Spittin Chiclets where he was asked to choose between Mitch Marner and Matthew Knies of the Toronto Maple Leafs
Paul Bissonnette has proven to be one of the most passionate fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs as of late as he is consistently giving his opinion on what he wants out of the team.
Both players are going to be in for some hefty contracts and there could be a lot of tears shed over the coming months if some guys don't get what they want.
Paul Bissonnette tries to steer the direction of the Toronto Maple Leafs
On the most recent episode of Spittin Chiclets, Bissonnette was asked by Ryan Whitney to answer an impossible question about Marner and Knies.
Essentially, he could choose between Knies at $8.5 million over eight years or Mitch Marner at $13.75 million over eight years.
Shockingly, Bissonnette decided to go with
Matthew Knies. While
Mitch Marner has 86 points and Knies has 47, Bissonnette just believes it would be smarter to keep Knies at that point.
Of course, the pundit would much rather keep the both of them, however, the prompt was to choose between one or the other.
These are the kinds of difficult choices that Brad Treliving is going to be tasked with very soon, although it is safe to say that he will do his best to retain everyone, if possible.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can shut the haters up and go on a deep playoff run.
