Toronto Maple Leafs Make Painfully Obvious Starting Goalie Decision Against San Jose

Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz have been splitting the net for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season and it has led to a ton of debates surrounding which goalie should be the starter for the playoffs.

At this stage of the game, the team is still splitting the duties and Craig Berube does not seem interested in putting an end to that practice.

With the Maple Leafs taking on the San Jose Sharks tonight, there were questions about who would get the start, Stolarz or Woll.

Stolarz played on Tuesday night and it was a relatively easy game for him as the the Leafs completely shell-shocked the Philadelphia Flyers by a score of 7-2.

On Thursday night, the Leafs are out on the West Coast and it has been officially determined that Joseph Woll will be getting the start in this one as he looks to avenge his loss against the Nashville Predators from Saturday.

This is going to be a big game for the Leafs who are tied for first in the Atlantic Division and want to take the outright lead away from the Florida Panthers.

Woll has a goals-against average of 2.74 and a save percentage of .907 which is certainly respectable all things considered.

The Leafs lost to the San Jose Sharks in a shootout a couple of weeks ago and that was a loss that left a lot of fans upset.

This is a great opportunity to right that wrong and get on a bit of roll here as we enter the final 10-game stretch of the NHL regular season.

If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, there is a lot to cheer about right now but things can always be a tad bit better.
