Steven Lorentz Reveals the Toronto Maple Leafs' Secret Playoff Strategy

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Steven Lorentz is excited about the NHL Playoffs and there is a strategy being employed that fans can definitely get behind.
Steven Lorentz has been a fantastic representative for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season and he is an example of this team's newfound philosophy under Craig Berube.
He is a gritty fourth liner and having played 80 games this season, there is no doubt that Berube loves the guy.
Tonight, Lorentz makes his Maple Leafs playoff debut against the Ottawa Senators, and after scoring some important goals this season, he has a chance to score even more.

Going into the playoffs, Lorentz delivered a very interesting message to the media when asked about the team's strategy would be.
Essentially, he noted that the Leafs have to play a methodical game and not try to be the heroes later on.
"We don't have to come out tonight and try to win 10, 12-0 and try to blow the doors open. It's a long process. It takes a game at a time. It's a long chess match."
This is a really good way to approach the game and we're sure fans are going to agree with what he has to say. After all, he did win a Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers.
The Leafs need guys who are experienced in the locker room and that is certainly a big reason why we go to see Lorentz on this Leafs team.
As it stands, the Maple Leafs are winning Game 1 against the Senators by a score of 2-1. Whether or not they finish it out remains to be seen.
If they do, it will be a fantastic start to the playoffs as the Leafs are trying to break the patterns of playoffs past. They have a great opportunity this season and fans see the vision.
