The Toronto Maple Leafs took on the Buffalo Sabres last night and once again, the KeyBank Center was left stunned by another awful night of hockey from the home team.
Buffalo came into last night's game with 11 straight losses, and the Toronto Maple Leafs made that 12 with a 6-3 victory that had everyone on the team scoring some goals.
Toronto Maple Leafs fans take over the KeyBank Center
The Sabres are located in a fantastic hockey city and despite the team's struggles, the KeyBank Center is always well-packed.
However, the team is also very close to Toronto, which means the arena was overrun by Leafs fans who were ready to pounce on the first sign of weakness.
According to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, fans in the building began to chant "Go Leafs Go" as the team took a 5-1 lead halfway through the second period.
These chants did eventually die down as the Sabres began to show some worrying signs of life as the game went on.
When the score was 5-3 with over three minutes to go, the Sabres scored a fourth on Matt Murray, however, it turns out that there was goaltender interference.
