With Brendan Shanahan leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs, it appears that the team is ready to make further changes to its front office.

MLSE CEO Keith Pelley is someone who has shown himself to be a bold operator. He recently let go of Masai Ujiri, a legend within the Toronto Raptors franchise.
Furthermore, he got rid of Brendan Shanahan a couple of months ago after the team failed to make it out of the second round of the playoffs.
Needless to say, if things aren't working, he is going to make a change. While some may not appreciate that, the fans in Toronto certainly find this to be a breath of fresh air.

Toronto Maple Leafs shake up their front office

On Friday, it was announced that the team had ousted two high-ranking executives in the front office.
Those departures were director of high performance, Rich Rotenberg, and director of hockey research, Rob Pettapiece.
Among off-ice departures from the #Leafs are director, high performance Rich Rotenberg and director, hockey research Rob Pettapiece. Club deciding next steps for the performance and research & development sides.
At this time, neither executive has been replaced, and it remains to be seen whether or not the Leafs will make any decisions in the near future.
Whatever the case may be, the Toronto Maple Leafs are making moves, and they are looking to make sweeping changes heading into next season.
With guys like Mitch Marner and Shanahan gone, this is a good time for the Leafs to reset and get themselves back on track.
Whether or not these changes result in playoff success, still remains to be seen.
