In Game 2, Woll impressed, even if he had a save percentage under .900. He got the team the win, and he made some big saves when it mattered the most.
Going into tonight's Game 3, there have been few debates about who should be in the net. However, with Woll's history, it's never quite clear if he is healthy enough to go.
Today at morning skate, Woll was in the starter's net, which all but confirms that he is going to be the starter tonight when the Leafs take on the Panthers.
In nine career playoff games, Woll has a goals-against average of 2.25 and a save percentage of .919 which is certainly significant.
Another solid performance from Joseph Woll would put the Florida Panthers in a 3-0 hole. However, the Leafs should not get ahead of themselves.
The team has to continue playing at a high level if they want any chance of winning the Cup this season, or even sniff the Eastern Conference Finals.
This series is in no way over. There is a lot of hockey left to be played, and we cannot wait to watch it all go down.
