Toronto Maple Lose Their Best Defenseman in Win Against the Florida Panthers

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe went down with just one minute left in last night's game against the Florida Panthers which is some bad news.
This is a game that the team needed to win to show that they are serious title contenders that can make it through the first two rounds of the postseason.
They did just that but it did come as a cost as one of the team's best defenseman went down with an injury near the end of the game.

In the clip below, you can see
McCabe going into the boards where he gets flung to ground and seems to hurt his shoulder in the process.
Despite there only being one minute to go in the game, McCabe had to go back to the dressing room which is enough reason to be concerned.
After the game, it was reported by Luke Fox that there was no update on his condition and whether or not he would be okay in the end.
Obviously, this is very disappointing as McCabe has been a stud for this Maple Leafs team. With 23 points and a +23 net rating, he is easily a top defenseman on the team alongside
Chris Tanev.
If the Toronto Maple Leafs want to make a deep run in the postseason, they are going to need Jake McCabe to be healthy, which means we could see him miss a couple of games as a precaution.
Or, perhaps the Leafs will be able to get him back in time for Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are a team they have struggled against this season.
Whatever the case may be, the Maple Leafs are in a tough battle and that means they need as healthy of a team as humanly possible.
