While taking to social media, Bowen confirmed that the 2025-26 season will officially be his last. He is giving it one last go before retiring for good.

"I sincerely hope that this will be the "One Before I Am Done" Season for the Leafs as they chase that elusive Cup."
His message to the fans was an emotional one, although that is very understandable. After all, he is a beloved person within Leafs Nation, and he will always be remembered fondly.
Next season, it is going to be difficult for the Maple Leafs to repeat what they did this year. However, if they ever needed motivation, Bowen just gave them some.
