Jonathan Toews Has Seemingly Finalized His Free Agency Wishlist

During his time with the Chicago Blackhawks, Jonathan Toews was one of the best players in the league, and he was also one of the most respected captains around.

There were very good reasons for this, namely the fact that he helped his team win three Stanley Cups in the span of just six years. It was an incredible time for the franchise, and the fans will always love him.

Two seasons ago, Toews had to stop playing due to an unconfirmed illness. Since that time, the forward has traveled the world, and now that he is 37 years old, he wants to make a comeback.

It's not going to be easy for Toews to pull off, but there are numerous teams who want him and will pay top dollar to acquire his services.

According to Ryan Dixon of Sportsnet, there are seven teams out there that make a whole lot of sense for Jonathan Toews, and these teams are reportedly near the top of his list.

The teams include the Anaheim Ducks, Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, Winnipeg Jets, New York Islanders, Boston Bruins, and yes, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

For weeks now, there have been reports that Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has been doing everything he can to make sure Toews is a Leaf.

He is someone who will not cost the team a lot of money. Furthermore, he can potentially offer some solid production in the bottom six, an area the Leafs must improve in.

Toews is expected to make his decision by the NHL Draft, which is set to take place on June 27th in Los Angeles, California.

If the Leafs somehow acquire the forward, we're sure there are going to be a lot of happy Leafs fans out there.
