Nick Robertson Is Ringing Alarm Bells as the Toronto Maple Leafs Prepare for the Playoffs

Nick Robertson has been disappointing for the Toronto Maple Leafs at times this season but it appears as though he has finally found his game for the playoffs.
Craig Berube was forced to bench winger Nick Robertson a couple of weeks ago as he continued to make turnovers and get bad penalties at inopportune times.
However, with an injury to David Kampf, the Leafs decided to give the forward another chance as he returned to the lineup on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
It proved to be a sensational match for Robertson as he came through and scored two goals, including the game-winner in a 5-0 win.

After the game, Robertson spoke to the media where he noted that it was great to get back into the game and show that he can make a true impact.
"It feels great," Robertson said. "You want to make an impact on the game and scoring a couple does that. You just try to feed off that and continue that confidence. (The scratches) gave me a reset, gives me even more of that hunger to get back in there and be effective and try and make the most of any opportunity I'm given."
Now, Robertson is sounding alarm bells, with the coaching staff forced to make a decision as the playoffs approach.
Even Robertson's teammates have been showing their respect, including Anthony Stolarz who has noticed the effort.
"It's huge. He's a very skilled player and works extremely hard, so for him to seamlessly step back into the lineup and score two important goals for us to get us going, that's huge for us and huge for his confidence I'm sure."
Overall, Robertson is an interesting player and it will be interesting to see what his role will be come playoff time.
The Leafs are in the hunt for the Atlantic Division and things continue to get more interesting by the day.
