Toronto Maple Leafs Confirm Major News Regarding William Nylander

William Nylander is one of the best players in the NHL this season and his 45 goals are proof of that.

Overall, he has been on fire all season long and last night, he scored a goal against the Carolina Hurricanes to get himself one step closer to that 50-goal plateau.

While he probably won't score five goals in the final two games of the season, there is no doubt that fans are expecting a big postseason from him.

Perhaps Nylander's best month of the entire season was March, where he was on fire scoring goals from everywhere on the ice and giving his Maple Leafs teammates a chance to win every night.

In fact, his efforts from last month are now being rewarded. Today, Nylander was awarded the Molson Cup First of the month award.

This is an award that is very much well-deserved and you can't help but feel like William Nylander is the most deserving of it right now.

As it stands, Nylander and the Leafs are preparing for games against the Buffalo Sabres and the Detroit Red Wings to close out the season. The goal is simple: win the Atlantic Division.

Meanwhile, the team is also trying to win in the playoffs, something that has been very difficult for this team over the last decade or so.

Only time will tell if this year is truly different or if the Leafs are in for yet another late April/early May collapse.
