Pittsburgh Penguins forward Bryan Rust is on the trading block, and with the Toronto Maple Leafs looking to make a move, Elliotte Friedman is now weighing in.
One player who seems to be the best option for the team right now is none other than
Bryan Rust, who is fresh off a 31-goal season with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Is Bryan Rust going to the Toronto Maple Leafs?
The last few weeks have been especially slow, and luckily, we got an all-new '32 Thoughts' with Elliotte Friedman to make sense of everything.
When it comes to the Penguins, Friedman cautioned that there are no immediate plans for the team to make some big moves. Instead, fans are going to have to wait it out a bit.
I don't think there's anything imminent there on any file; I'm assuming things are gonna heat up later in the summer
Friedman does foresee the Penguins making moves as the summer goes on, but that is never a guarantee.
Whether or not the Maple Leafs can make the best package for Rust, also remains to be seen. With Nick Robertson signed, perhaps he could be used as a bargaining chip.
These last few weeks have been pretty brutal for Leafs fans, and many are waiting for the good news to start flowing in. Hopefully, that comes in due time.
For now, Maple Leafs fans will simply have to be patient, trust the process, and continue to root for the team just as hard as they always have.
