Niko Mikkola Almost Ends William Nylander's Season with a Disgusting Act

Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander was almost taken out in horrific fashion by Florida Panthers defenseman Niko Mikkola during Game 4 on Sunday.
William Nylander has been the best player on the Toronto Maple Leafs throughout the playoffs so far, and there is no doubt that the team needs him more than ever.
However, on Sunday, in the midst of a 2-0 loss, Willy was the target of numerous extra-curriculars from the Florida Panthers.
For instance, at the end of the game, Matthew Tkachuk threatened to hurt Nylander in Game 5, which has a lot of fans on edge right about now.
Niko Mikkola tries to hurt William Nylander
Tkachuk antics aside, there was another scary moment for Nylander in Game 4 and it involved defenseman Niko Mikkola.
As you can see below, Nylander was hit along the Panthers bench, and Mikkola opened up the door while Nylander was right there so that he would fall in.
Although Willy kept his balance, this could have been an absolute disaster as we have seen players suffer severe injuries in these scenarios.
It seems as though the Florida Panthers are willing to stoop to the lowest levels just to make sure that the Leafs lose this series.
Over the past two games, the strategy has worked as the series is now tied at two games apiece and the Maple Leafs appear to really be struggling to score goals.
Game 5 is set to go down in Toronto on Wednesday, and there is going to be a lot of attention on this game, and for very good reason.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs are truly up to the challenge or if they are about to crumble, yet again.
